calendar icon 13:00 — 19:00
Event category: Seminars

  • The time has come to devote a whole week (or just a whole day) to yourself and to your professional development.
  • The time has come to develop the skills that will bring you one step closer to what you are dreaming of in order to make your job one of the best parts of your life.
  • The time has come to try a new way to balance your professional life with your personal life.
  • The time has come to meet new active women, to share your ideas and experiences and to find new inspiration and new associates.
  • The time has come for the 2nd Summer Camp of Women On Top, from 19-24 June 2017, daily from 13:00 – 19:00 at our familiar and new favorite spot – Ismos.

Women On Top’s Summer Camp is a series of workshops for professional (and not only) empowerment, that will help you bring your best self to work and make it easier to deal with the changes you are willing to make in your career: to find a job, to find another position, to earn more money, to have more free time, to take a new step in your career, to build your teams confidence, to make your daily routine calmer, more productive and more pleasant.

But it doesn’t end there: it is also an opportunity to make connections, to find inspiration and support from a community of women who are always looking for the best – and all this without having to find an answer to the hard question “But where will I leave the kids” (if you have any). At WoT we believe that children and parents can deserve to develop side by side: this is why we seek to keep the little ones (aged 0 -12) occupied for however long their mum is improving her (but also theirs) potentials.

Some of the subjects that will be included in this year’s Summer Camp are:

  • promoting our jobs on social media
  • solving conflicts
  • successful networking
  • smart management of our finances
  • creating digital content
  • social entrepreneurship
  • careers guidance
  • dealing with failure
  • time management and much more.

Each day of the Summer Camp will involve two different workshops of career development and a coffee break (16:00 – 17:00) with networking and mentoring on different subjects each time. The last day, Saturday, will be open and
free to all who have attended at least one of the week’s seminars.

Scroll down to read in detail about the week’s program, the cost, and the guest speakers.

We will be waiting for you!

Program

Monday 19/6
14.00-16.00 | How to promote your work through social media ׀ Nontas Karavias
The internet and especially social media create a platform that offers huge potential to promote our business – do we know, however, how to use it correctly? In this workshop we will discover ways to use each means to broaden our audience and build a powerful professional image, but we will also find traps that may, unfairly, create problems in our sense of worth and our image as workers or business owners.

17.00-19.00 | From failure to success ׀ Aggeliki Kosmopoulou
Failure – or more commonly fear that we will fail – keeps us grounded. It keeps us away from our goals, makes our dreams feel distant and makes us introverts and hesitant at times, when we want to take a step forward. How can we accept it as a part of a full life, understand it as a phase and not as a final result and use it as a source of power to reach success?

Tuesday 20/6
14.00-16.00 | Procrastination and setting targets: how to make time for everything you want ׀ Nichole Vourvourioti
‘There is no time. I can’t make a choice right now. I am not sure what to do. I‘ll do it later. It’s not the right time.’ Does any of these ring a bell? Such thoughts and phrases can get in the way of going for what you are dreaming of for yourself and your life. Together we will break the cycle of procrastination, discover the secrets of time management and create goals so juicy that you won’t be able to resist!

17.00-19.00 | What do you want to be when you grow up? ׀ Eva Karamargiou
If you have just set your professional course and want to evolve, if you have already been working for some years and are looking for the next step, if you are not sure you want to continue working in the same subject, in these two hours we will look at the questions you need to ask yourself in order to plan your next steps!

Wednesday 21/6
14.00-16.00 | How to build a website (and what to do afterwards) ׀ Stella Kasdagli
A workshop for those who want to learn how to create their own blogs and websites, easily and affordably, but also how to create quickly and efficiently content for the web. Stella Kasdagli will guide us step-by-step in the technique of developing a webpage on a Word Press platform and will help us find our voice and our style, in order to create our own identity through our new digital ‘home’.

17.00-19.00 | Woman, working woman, mum and more: how to balance the roles of your life ׀ Venia Delikaterini
The challenges that a working woman faces are many: she is expected to manage several roles and relationships, to balance accordingly her own needs, the needs of her work, and the needs of her significant others. In her attempt she may deal with conflict, guilt, frustration, anger, disappointment and other tough feelings. In this workshop we will focus on ideas and ways that can help a working mum make her free time feel valuable and help her be present through different aspects of her life.

Thursday 22/6
14.00-16.00 | Personal Branding and networking: a practical guide ׀ Andrea Solomonidou
How to build honest and productive relationships and connections in our work and personal life? How much networking is enough and why do we need it? What is the limit between honesty and exaggeration? Finally, how can we create and make good use of our new and old contacts without feeling like we’re just doing another chore? Come and we’ll discover the answers together in a workshop full of networking!

17.00-19.00 | Take control of your finances ׀ Eva Stavrinaki
Do you feel like you have control of your finances? The successful management of our money, especially in an unstable financially era and in professions without much stability, is an important subject for the success of any venture and for our personal satisfaction and peace of mind. Above all it is an opportunity for personal development and motivation. The basic goal of this workshop is the introduction of the principals of financial management, keeping in mind our values and goals.

Friday 23/6
14.00-16.00 | Mediating and solving conflicts at the workplace: How can a team work more effectively? ׀ Eleni Plessa
How can a team work more effectively and perform better? What skills can we use to deal better with a conflict in which we are involved in but also to help in solving a conflict between others? Mediating has the answers as it is not only a way of solving legal issues out of court but it can be used in dealing with conflicts in the workplace as well. Through theory and practical exercises, let’s find the ways together!

17.00-19.00 | Social entrepreneurship and human-centered design ׀ Evita Kolokouri
A practical guide to a first glance at models of social entrepreneurship and the ways of creating sustainable designs with both financial and social value. In combination with analyzing the methods of Design Thinking we will be able to develop our skills in order to put our ideas and plans into action.

Saturday 24/6
Free participation to those who have attended at least one workshop of the week.

11.00-12.30 | Open Space Technology | Free participatio
The process of Open Space Technology is participatory and without many restrictions. With its theme being opportunities and challenges that need to be overcome and ideas that need to be created in order for a connection to form between money/prosperity & work/life balance, the participants are called to talk about their ideas and thoughts in a safe group setting in order for a common future to form with the guidance of the coordinator and following 4 simple rules:

1. Whoever comes is the right people
2. Whenever it starts is the right time
3. When it’s over it’s over
4. Whatever happens is the only thing that could happen.

13.00-14.00 | Speed mentoring | With Women On Top’s mentors
What do you want to become when you grow up? Do you need to be a program developer in order to work in the field of technology? How much do coaches make after all? Can artists survive on their art in Greece? How can you evolve professionally in a male dominated environment? What question would you like to ask Women On Top’s mentors? A two hour speed mentoring for all those who want to make their work one of the best parts of their life.
