What is mentoring? What it means, how it is done and how it can help.
Why find a mentor?
You may think that your friends and/or family are more than enough to help you answer all the troubles you face at work. Or you may believe that the issues you are dealing with are so hard that you will never be able to resolve them. Yet mentoring can help you look at things from a different angle and make work one of the best parts of your life.
Read here how mentoring has helped some of our members to bring their professional dreams to life.
How is it done?
Mentoring can take many different forms, depending on the needs and availability of each mentor and mentee:
- face-to-face meetings
- remote communication (via email, phone, Skype etc)
- shadowing days, in which the mentee follows her mentor on the job
Who is it for?
It is for all women, aged 16 and over, who want to bring their professional dreams to life, share their experience with younger women – or, better still, both!
