The truth about sexual harassment

In Greece, the percentage of women who have faced sexual harassment at work is particularly high, as 85% of women report having experienced sexual harassment that has impacted their personal and professional life.

According to the law, “sexual harassment is any unwanted verbal, nonverbal or physical conduct of a sexual nature with the purpose or effect of violating the dignity of a person, especially if it creates an intimidating, hostile, degrading, humiliating or offensive environment.”

Sexual harassment may not only be physical, it can also be verbal (written or oral), nonverbal or digital.

You can read here some of the myths about sexual harassment that should be busted, and read on what men consider harassing behaviour, according to ActionAid’s research.
