Tags: Femin-ICTDespite the progress made in women’s participation in the labor market, women are still under-represented or find it difficult to advance in some sectors, particularly in the IT & New Technologies sector.
FEMIN-ICT is a collaboration between 7 organizations based in 6 EU countries, and aims to bridge this gap by encouraging more women to enter the industry, giving them the tools they need to succeed, and promoting their equal participation, representation and treatment.
How will we deal with the underrepresentation and difficulty of advancement of women in the ICT sector?
Through targeted seminars and training material, we will support companies/employers in the sector, business incubators, educational institutions, Municipalities and Regions, so that they integrate the principles of gender equality into their operation and attract (but also maintain!) more women who want to and can be active in the field of technology.
In order to achieve this, we created two questionnaires to collect experiences and find out the obstacles and difficulties that women face in this field, as well as to listen to the opinions and ideas from the companies/employers in the sector, entrepreneurship incubators, educational institutions, Municipalities and Regions, on how they can reduce the distance and welcome more women to the sector.

FEMIN-ICT is funded by the Erasmus+ Program of the EU and it is implemented by the organizations Impact Hub Stockholm, Stimmuli for social change, The Square Dot Team, Women On Top, Associazione Co-cò Italy, Instituto Ikigai, CSI CENTER FOR SOCIAL INNOVATION LTD
