Elena was born and raised in Corfu, Greece with dual Greek and English nationality. She graduated from the Veterinary University of Thessaly in 2010 and then completed a two year internship in small animal surgery, anaesthesiology, radiography and emergency and critical care. In 2003 she started her own practice, “The Animal Clinic” with her colleague in Corfu.
Her main interests in veterinary medicine include anaesthesiology, surgery and pain management in small animals. She is a member of the Hellenic Veterinary Association (HVA), the Hellenic Companion Animal Veterinary Society (HCAVS), the Greek Action of Volunteer Veterinarians (EDKE) and the non governmental environmental organisation “Arcturos”. She is also a volunteer for the non governmental organisation W.I.N. Hellas. She is especially interested in matters concerning gender equality, both in the workspace and overall. In her spare time she enjoys listening to music, spending time with her dog, and swimming.
