Georgia is a graduate of the School of Law of Athens, where she also completed her postgraduate studies in European Union law. After completing a study visit programme at the Institute of Advanced Legal Studies (IALS) in London in the context of her doctoral studies, she joined the Legal Service of the European Commission, where she mainly dealt with the implementation of the financial instruments of the EU budget.
Currently, she is working in a boutique law firm in the center of Athens which is specialized in European Union law and its interaction with national law. She has been exploring alternative ways of applying her legal expertise with the aim of bringing a positive impact on society. Her focus has shifted to gender equality issues and the latter’s impact on the private and public sphere.
As she is taking her first steps in volunteering through the WoT network, she is keen on acquiring and developing knowledge on ways to promote gender equality. She is an avid lover of yoga and the sea.
