Ioanna lives and works in Thessaloniki, at the Oncology Department of the Interbalkan Medical Center. She holds a BSc degree in Computer Science and Biomedical Informatics from the University of Thessaly and is currently in the final stage of obtaining her MSc degree in Health Statistics and Data Analytics from the Medical School of Aristotle University in Thessaloniki. In June 2023, she completed a Project Management course at the International Hellenic University to enhance her skillset. Her interests are focused on developments in the fields of data analytics, particularly Artificial Intelligence (AI), and how these can be applied in the field of Biotechnology (BioTech). She is working on her thesis related to these topics. Most importantly, she closely follows the advancements in these fields, especially in oncology, where she is employed.
Since her early years as a student, she has been actively involved in various organizations, workshops, and events such as the Athens Science Festival, Erasmus+, IEEE, EIT Health Academy, and the Business Masterclass, among others. One of her favorite activities is organizing trips, paying attention to every detail, as this process allows her to discover both well-known and unexplored places to visit. In her free time, she engages in physical exercise, creates videos with recommendations from the places she has visited, and takes chess lessons.
