Ready for Work, the specialized training and employability program of Women On Top, announces its 8th cycle! With the cooperation and support of the Motor Oil Group, 30 young women who are about to graduate or have already graduated from Engineering Schools, will be equipped with the necessary tools and develop the skills they need to succeed in the Energy field.
Are you interested in renewable energy sources, the circular economy, alternative fuels, and you are looking for your first or next experience in the field of Energy? Do you need guidance and support to enter the job market dynamically? Then the Ready for Work @ Engineering program is for you!
1st Step: Skills Camp
From April 1st through April 4th, 30 young women will participate for free in a series of 10 hands-on and interactive professional development workshops. Through a unique experience of empowerment and networking, they will become members of a community with similar ambitions and concerns. The tools they receive will help them develop the skills they need to get one step closer to their professional dreams and claim a career in the Energy sector.
2nd Step: Mentoring
Upon completing of the workshops, the graduates will be connected with women who have professional experience in the Energy sector, and will carry out a three-month mentoring partnership with them. During these 3 months, each mentor will share with the mentee experiences and knowledge she has acquired during her own career path, thus helping her to clarify goals related to her professional development. At the end of the program, they will be equipped with valuable skills, tools and contacts, to use in their job search and throughout their professional life.
Field Trip:
The women who will be selected to participate in the program will have the opportunity to visit the Motor Oil refinery facilities in Agios Theodoros on March 5, to get in touch with the field and get to know each other before the start of the program.
* For those reside outside of Athens, travel and accommodation costs will be covered by the program.
This Ready for Work program is for you if:
- You have just finished or are about to finish your Engineering studies and you want to prepare for the job search.
- You have been looking for your first or second job for a long time but have not been able to find something that satisfies you.
- You work in positions that are not related to the subject of your studies and you can’t wait to find something that will do.
